It all begins with an idea. What would we want for a charter boat experience? We are a family founded and operated business that wanted a charter boat experience that felt like home. With an extensive background in the Australian Charter Boat industry, we knew there was something missing. A true Aussie feeling.

We love a good woodfired pizza, drinks and comfort for our friends and family. That’s when Mandalay Cruises was born.

We know not everyone is satisfied with only woodfired pizza for their catering on events such as Corporate functions, Work parties, Weddings and large scale events where you really want to impress. This is why we have created a tailor made menu that offers different catering packages based on your taste.

  • We can pick-up and drop-off at a range of locations throughout Sydney Harbour. If you let us know the area that is most convenient for you, we can identify the best wharf in the area. Popular choices include King Street Wharf (Darling Harbour), Circular Quay, Drummoyne and Double Bay. We can also pick-up from Manly, however surcharges do apply.

  • If yo prefer to BYO, yes absolutlye you can. However BYO drinks are only allowed for up to 99 guests. Please note that outside catering must be ready to serve as we do not have guest cooking facilities.

  • Yes, children are allowed. Please note that children do count towards the final guest numbers.

  • yes, smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking area. Please ask one of our friendly crew to point you in the right direction.

  • Yes, you can wear shoes. HIGH HEELS ARE NOT ALLOWED. You will be asked to remove your shoes if you show up with heels on.

  • If you have more guests on the day than the number you have confirmed with us, a fee will be applied per additional person payable before the boat leaves the wharf. The fee is dependent on your package at the time of booking.

    Our vessel has a maximum capacity of 193 passengers. We CANNOT allow more than 193 passengers onboard.

  • Mandalay has covered areas to provide weather protection in the event of rain. A passing shower is pretty typical weather for Sydney summer and in our experience, a little rain never dampens spirits. However, if the weather is deemed to be unsafe, then we can offer you the opportunity to postpone to another date or refund your booking. Unsafe weather is deemed by the captain - Rain is not considered unsafe.

  • We have a great sound system onboard that is bluetooth connection. You are welcome to connect your device and play your own music. DJ’s are welcome, however they do require to provide their own speakers.

  • We encourage guests to allow plenty of time and arrive at the wharf 15 – 30 mins prior to your scheduled departure. Charter boats are required to book wharf slots and have strict time frames, if you are late you might literally ‘miss the boat’ as we cannot stay past our booking time.
